My Paranormal Experiences After Using a Ouija Board

I have always believed in the paranormal, ever since I was very young. I had never had any of my own experiences, but I still believed everything I had heard. It seemed to me there was no way it couldn't be true. Then I had some experiences that made me certain I was right in believing.

In November 2007, my dad died in a car accident. At the time, I was 12, my younger sister was 10, and my baby sister was 10 months old. It came as a shock to us, seeing as my mother had just had my sister. Unfortunately, we still struggle with money issues and things aren't as good and well as they could be.

Shortly after my dad died, in June of 2008 or 2009, my mother and I were out shopping. I saw that there was a Ouija board for sale. It was the last one on the shelf. I had wanted one for so long, and I begged and pleaded until my mother gave in and bought it for me. After we got home, I opened it up and set the board on a table in our living room and I set the oracle piece on the board. A few seconds afterward, me and my mother heard a crashing sound in the adjoining garage. We both walked to the garage and looked inside, and we found my dad's old nascar clock on the ground by the side door that leads to the backyard, next to our ping pong table. It had originally been hanging on the wall up near the ceiling on the other side of the garage. There was no rational explanation for how it would've just came off the wall and flown across the room. I picked it up and examined it, and there were no scratches on it or anything, it had simply stopped working. When I came back inside and went back in the living room, I saw that the oracle piece had moved from it's original place in the center of the board.

A few days after, my mother told me that she was standing on our front porch, holding my baby sister and talking to our neighbor from across the street. It was a perfect summer day, very calm with no wind. She said as she was talking to her, one of our 4 ferns that we have hanging by hooks on our front porch (the one to the far left of her) came off the hook and flew at her. It landed by her feet, and scared her and our neighbor. She still doesn't know why that happened.

A few months later, on Halloween, my 2 friends, Rose and Kailyn, came over to my house. We were all dressed up, and we wanted my mother to take pictures of us. So we stood at the end of my front porch and posed for pictures. My mother took 2 pictures of us. When we went to look at them, we saw the 1st picture was normal. But in the 2nd picture, there was a huge orb floating above our heads. It was gray, with hints of blue and green inside, and it wasn't a perfect circle, it was kind of misshapen. Later that night, we took a picture of my mom's then-boyfriend, Brad, while he was standing in my front yard, and there were little orbs that seemed to be flying past the camera towards his body. We zoomed in on the orbs, and one had a tail on it, like a shooting star, and was flying towards his feet.

A couple of months later, Rose and Kailyn were spending the night. We were in my room, sitting on my bed and talking. The way my room is set up is that I have a TV sitting on my dresser, and my dresser has a big, wide mirror attached to it. In the reflection of my mirror, you can see my bed, and next to my bed on the right side is a closet, and next to that, a bookshelf. We decided to watch a movie, so I put a movie into my DVD player and turned off my bedroom light. As soon as I turned off the light, Rose and Kailyn started screaming, telling me to turn the light back on. When I did, I saw that they were crying and holding each other. I asked them what happened, and they said when I turned my light off, they looked into my mirror and saw a man standing in front of my closet. They described him as a dark figure, whose neck stretched all the way to my ceiling. To this day, they are both still terrified of entering my room.

One day shortly after that, I was sitting in my living room watching TV, and I heard an old woman's voice on the couch next to the one I was sitting on. She said ''Stan.'' The name was very drawn out and it sounded like the voice of someone who had recently lost their voice.

There have been several other incidents, but those are the main ones. Aside from that, I hear footsteps all the time when no one is here but me, I hear whispers, I feel like I am not alone most of the time, even in an empty room, and I have strange dreams. None of this started happening until after my dad died and after I got the Ouija board. Both my mother and my younger sister do not believe in the paranormal, but I am certain that it is the only explanation.

  1. What sort of questions did you ask while usin the ouija board? I'm curious because I used one in the past, and now really bad things are beginning to happen...any specific names that were mentioned while you used the board?

    2. when you plat the quija board you ask questions about the ghost and then you 'll know if it's a good or bad spirit meaning if you say you've played in your past that you mean that the spirit you were communicating with was evil you need you seek for spiritual help if it is still happening by that i don't mean continuing playing the game, though playing it is very interesting just because you play it does not mean your cursed, but by bad thing what do you mean?

    3. their is no such thing as a good spirit the only good spirits are angel and belong to God Everything and i mean Everything including passed lived family members are Demons in disguise! lets not forget that there are spirits all around us, they are invisible and see everything we do, that's why they can answer questions of what we do when we are alone, or questions about things we have said or what others have said to us or even what past relatives smelled like and looked like the only thing they don't know is what is in our minds only God knows that

  3. Okay, Anonymous #2, if you want me to take you seriously, you should really consider proper grammar. There is most likely no demonic presence named, "James" in fact, it is most likely your tired, over worked brain that is making you so inconsiderate of you grammar. I will advise a mental intuition.
As for the story, I didn't read. Stories like yours disturb me and often times make me pee on the rug. My husband gets mad and sometimes throws me out. That is rare, however. I wish you the very best,

  4. I did a Ouija board with my Mum when I was 11. I never thought anything of it until last night when my friends Mum went to see a psychic. I recently moved in to her house and the psychic knew nothing about me, I have never met her in my life and she said that someone had just moved in, which is me and that I have brought a spirit with me which is unbalancing with the spirit already in the house. She asked my friends Mum if I had ever done a Ouija board before and if I had then she needs to talk to me because apparently I have let myself into something and I don't know what I'm messing with. She said that I didn't close the board properly and it's very important that she talks to me. In actual fact the glass tipped over and cracked, that's supposed to mean that you have let the spirit out. I'm really worried about seeing her though, a lot of things have happened to me since doing the Ouija board but I never thought it could be related to that... Do you know how you actually close the board properly?

    1. you need to move the pointer over to 'goodby' and also thank the spirit. Also, try a closing prayer.

      Delete
    2. You should also move the pointer in a counter-clockwise motion 3 times before moving it over goodbye

  5. Well I have never used a ouija board before but I have had paranormal activity. One day me and my friend was in the bathroom at our school. We were in the stalls all alone when the lights shut off, doors slammed shut on the other stall doors, low dryers went on and the sink turned on. Then the lights finally opens I bolted out to see who it was and no one was their and my friend was still in the stall. Just as we left the lights went off again. Never again will I use that bathroom

  9. This was an interesting story, but you shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions. I believe I can offer a rational account of what you've experienced.

The timing of the event could be chalked up to coincidence. There are several simultaneous events occurring with no relation between them, each day. Why, sometimes when I'm just about to leave the house, the phone rings. In fact, this can happen in succession. This is not a 'supernatural' sign -- it means several people are trying to phone the house, or it could simply be the wrong number, which happens. This is aided by the fact that my father won't stop handing out our number to strangers. -_-

Concerning the clock itself falling down. You can't be sure that it was situated securely against the wall. When you first prop something that heavy up, its prone to fall over due to its lower center of gravity. Combined with how the clock is angled and the relative flatness of its surroundings, it may not align perfectly. If I were to prop my bed up in the same position, it would have the same chance of falling over. Though tempting, it's not enough evidence to signify spiritual visitation or something of that sort.

I picked it up and examined it, and there were no scratches on it or anything, it had simply stopped working.

Depending on how it fell against the floor, it may not have scratches. Falls of that force are enough to jam the clockwork mechanisms from working.

When I came back inside and went back in the living room, I saw that the oracle piece had moved from it's original place in the center of the board.

You may have unwittingly moved the planchette when you heard the crash. Or, it could have shifted places slightly due to the force of the crash.

The other accounts are intriguing. I may have an explanation for them. I'm a bit tired to write further at the moment, so just mull through what I've given you so far.

    Thanks for your story.

  11. I know that you probably have a fascination with the "paranormal"/the spirit realm but it's nothing to play around with. When I was younger I had the same fascination but now that I'm older, I've learned and am much more informed. Demonic spirits are real just like angelic spirits are real. It comes down to the point where it's no longer even a "spooky" matter anymore. It's just truth. I'm not trying to go off on a religious tangent but all this and more are stated clearly in the bible...and also so frequently that it isn't considered rare or abnormal. Many times we treat it that way because we are uninformed, do not understand or do not come in contact with it but it still in fact is very real. My advice to you is to stay away from ouija boards. Everyone has their own opinion and own right to do what they want but this is not wise. Ouija boards allow access to things that are evil and deceptive. No matter how many personal stories I hear about demonic encounters I always remember that no power is stronger than the name of Jesus Christ. Demons tremble at His name. I find it hard to be afraid of something that thinks it's so big and bad but goes fleeing at the sound of Jesus. Establish a relationship with God and He will reveal to you the truth about the spirit realm. I know you may miss your dad and I'm so sorry the accident happened. But I also believe that if he was saved he is currently peacefully with the Lord and there is no doubt that you will see him again. I wish the best for you and your family.

  34. I agree with an earlier anonymous writer that the only thing that can stop these demons are jesus christ but you can not use his name unless you truly believe him and are saved. If you mention his name and are not saved the demons will only laugh at you and become more angry. I've known cases similar to this and many in my family have experienced similar things. this can all end if you ask Jesus to be your lord and savior and repent of your sin. Only His name has the power! I'm saddened by your experiences and will pray that you take up my humble suggestion!

Jesus Christ's name bring's fear 2 demon's as well as Jehovah's name - nobody becomes ghosts when they die - as stated in the bible - Ashes to Ashes & Dust to Dust - so when we die we become nothing but dust as from where we came from - if ever I get scared I say Jehovah as many times as I need to & He protects me from harm

    ReplyDelete
  47. because they where just seen as a party piece to have fun with and just to make people laugh, then things started to happen, E.G paranormal experiences, then the companies that made the 'games' started getting complaints but if they said on the box, 'WARNING IS NOT A TOY COULD CAUSE DEMONS TO FOLLOW THEN YOU'LL DIE!' no-body would buy it, so today they are still classed as games just so that they can sell them to some unsuspecting child to make $$$ then the kid will probably need 20 years of counselling to get over it!

  164. I have never used one and I probably won't. My mom is a medium (gives reading and such, she is REALLY good.) My mom believes in angels, and archangels. The ouji board brings bad spirits,it is a "portal" for them to come out. I know I sound like a crazy person and probably it might sound like it has some devil activity or whatever. I don't believe that, but my friend played one and for the rest of the night people kept having "accidents" or something. Like falling on tree roots and many other things that were repetitive. I don't believe in them but I find them fasinating.
